Although you say this isn’t a “juicy” scene I can understand why you picked it. My favorite line of your artists statement is: “After this meeting I realized that adults can be dishonest, and unwilling to listen, and the best thing I can do is call them out on it.” I think you’re so right but this can be such a frustrating revelation because we’ve been taught that adults, specifically educators are there for us and trustworthy. Appreciate your vulnerability!
