You did a really good job at expressing how much sports impact our lives, especially when we are younger. Through the story I could feel how crushed you were by not making the team. In your artist’s note you mentioned that not making the team ended up being better for you, how do you think you life in high school would have been different if you made the team? Or even tried out again the next year?
When you mentioned that it is hard to figure out what you want to do with your life at 14 I feel like it is very relatable. Most people at 14 go through something like this. I really enjoyed reading through, and once I had reached the end I wish there was more to the story.
You did a good job making it relatable, because every little problem makes it seem like the world is going to end when you are fourteen, I also really liked that there wasn’t a perfect ending and you sort of left it on a cliffhanger. Did you ever get back on the team in later years of high-school or find something to replace it?
