I’ve never seen Grease before, so I learned a lot from this VLOG! I think there are some common critiques of the film–like the fact that Sandy changes her personality just for a guy–that the VLOG doesn’t deal with, which leaves you a lot of room for new and interesting and ideas. I hadn’t thought about the different focuses of men and women within relationship, so that was a new idea the VLOG presented. You also did a good job of connecting the VLOG to some course materials. Although there were definitely other aspects of the movie you could’ve critiqued, I think you were fairly thorough given the length of the VLOG. The only critique I can think of is that I wish there had been a little more summary; I haven’t seen the movie, so I didn’t always feel like I had a good grasp of the plot. Otherwise, good job!
I thought this video was really cool! I think if you guys quoted the lines more specifically and explained the lines a little more in depth exactly, you would be able to connect your points a little better, but I still think it was very well done and that Grease should be looked at differently overall.
