Brittany, I remember enjoying this film back when it first came out and before I brought a critical lens to it. I appreciated your critiques from the first quarter, but it seems to me your love of the film prevented you from really offering the deep critique that this film deserves in terms of gender norms and how they intersect with race (cheating black men), sexuality and class. Seems like that there was so much more your analysis could have gone.
